I'm in Tampa. I'm hoping for and eastward track. It's too late to evacuate...interstates are parking lots and fuel is out at gas stations. I pray for those stranded in Miami.

We have full gas tanks, one higher sitting truck, sufficient food and water, metal hurricane shutters and a new house built to current cat3 hurricane standards (For what that is worth). We may have to move further inland to a friend's as we are 3 - 5 miles from the gulf. Flooding is the issue, not tidal surge (as long as it stays east).

I'll keep everyone posted as long as I can, but I have to lookout for family first. Prayers welcome.

The storm has passed, somehow the hurricane broke down into a Cat 2....all are safe. Talk about a miracle.
